Vietnam National Brand Program – The Government’s Unique, Long-Term Trade Promotion Program

Launched in 2003, the program aims to advance the development of the National Brand by supporting businesses in building and growing strong brands in the market. Through this, the program promotes the image of Vietnam as a country with a well-developed manufacturing base and high-quality goods and services, contributing to enhancing national competitiveness and elevating the position of Vietnamese brands in domestic and international markets.
The selection of companies awarded the National Brand designation has been conducted every two years since 2008. This initiative encourages companies to continue sharing and pursuing the values of the program and to foster pride in Vietnamese products.

After more than 20 years of implementation, with strong and consistent leadership and oversight from the Party and State leaders, and the active and effective involvement of central agencies, ministries, local authorities, and organizations, along with the proactive, extraordinary efforts of the business community driven by aspirations for a powerful, prosperous Vietnam, the Vietnam National Brand Program has achieved significant positive results. The program has drawn keen attention from both the business community and consumers domestically and abroad, becoming a solid launchpad to help Vietnamese businesses rise and create new value and strength for the country.
On November 4, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced and awarded the 2024 National Brand title to 359 products from 190 companies out of more than 1,000 companies with products participating in the program that met the program’s criteria.

These companies have achieved impressive business results, with total revenue in 2023 reaching VND 2.4 million billion, contributing approximately VND 150 trillion to the state budget. They have provided employment for over 600,000 workers and actively participated in social welfare activities, supporting the country’s rapid and sustainable development.
